2. The Reword app collects no data

Reword runs entirely on your device. It rewrites and improves text using Apple Intelligence (Apple's on-device Foundation Models). The app has no backend and makes no network calls for its functionality. Your text and rewrites are never transmitted to us or to any third party, there is no user account, and the app works offline. In App Store terms, the app's data collection is "Data Not Collected".

3. Data processed when you visit this website

This website is a static information site. We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, third-party scripts, or web fonts loaded from external servers (only system fonts are used). When you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically processes technical connection data in server access logs:

  • IP address
  • Browser type / user agent
  • Date and time of the request
  • The page or resource requested

4. Purposes and legal basis

We process the server log data described above to deliver the website securely and reliably and to detect and prevent technical faults and misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Retention

Server access logs are retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes above (security and operation) and are then deleted or anonymized in accordance with our hosting provider's standard practices. We do not store any other personal data about website visitors.

6. Recipients / processors (hosting and third-country transfer)

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, acting as our processor. This involves a transfer of the technical log data described above to the United States (a third country). Vercel Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission issued an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023; the transfer is therefore based on that adequacy decision. We use no other recipients or processors for this website.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your personal data (Art. 15); rectification (Art. 16); erasure (Art. 17); restriction of processing (Art. 18); data portability (Art. 20); and to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 21). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with future effect (Art. 7(3)) — note that this website uses no consent-based processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 1.

8. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for the controller is:

9. No automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

Reword is a general-purpose text tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly process personal data of children through this website.
